Leadership and Service Programme

Medbury’s Leadership and Service Programme is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower boys with essential skills, values, and experiences to become compassionate and effective leaders. Tailored to the needs and capabilities of different year groups, the programme offers a range of opportunities for personal growth and development.

Pillar Programmes provide impactful experiences such as the Whole School Community Day, Year 5 Leadership Day, and Year 6 Leadership Immersion Programme. These events allow boys to engage in hands-on activities, develop teamwork skills, and understand the importance of serving their community.

Sustained Programmes ensure continuous learning and engagement with leadership and service principles. Initiatives like the Community Service Award and MED-X Talks encourage empathy, compassion, and social responsibility throughout the school year.

Through these programmes, boys gain:

  1. Leadership Skills: Opportunities to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively within a team setting.
  2. Values Education: Exposure to core values such as integrity, empathy, respect, and excellence, fostering a strong moral compass.
  3. Social Awareness: Understanding of community needs and social issues, cultivating a sense of responsibility towards others.
  4. Personal Development: Encouragement to develop resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities, crucial for navigating challenges in life.
  5. Civic Engagement: Participation in community service projects and initiatives, instilling a sense of citizenship and civic duty.

Medbury’s Leadership and Service Programme equips boys with the tools and mindset needed to become empathetic, socially conscious leaders who positively impact their communities.
